U.S. Rep. DelBene Hosting Series Of Local Town Hall Meetings

REDMOND, WA - U.S. Rep. Suzan DelBene, D-Redmond, will hold a series of local town hall-style meetings beginning with Redmond on April 1.

DelBene has only scheduled two town halls so far - her first will be March 25 in Ferndale - but says she is planning to hold more in April in the cities of Snohomish, Mount Vernon, and Kirkland. Space is limited, so DelBene is asking constituents to RSVP before attending.

Recent town halls across the U.S. have been the site of political protest, mainly aimed at Republicans and other lawmakers who are in favor of repealing the Affordable Care Act. U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Issaquah, has been dogged by criticism for refusing to hold live town halls with constituents. He did a virtual town hall via Facebook in February.

The Redmond town hall will take place April 1 at 3 p.m. at Redmond High School, 17272 NE 104th St.
