Upcoming Marymoor 5K to Benefit Foster Kids
Proceeds from Saturday's race will help fund a summer camp program for local foster kids.
The Foster Kids 5K returns to on Saturday, with proceeds from the event benefitting Royal Family Kids’ Camp, a program for children with a history of abuse and/or neglect.
Now in its third year, the race begins at 9 a.m. in the velodrome parking lot. On-leash dogs, strollers, joggers, walkers and runners are all welcome.
The cost to register is $30; children 12 and younger are free. Online registration closes at midnight on Thursday, but paper registration will be available from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on race day.

The Foster Kids 5K takes place one day before the Make a Wish Foundation's Walk for Wishes, set for 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Marymoor. for more information on that event.
