What to give our parents?
Father's Day follows Mother's Day which is followed by Parent's Day, consider the priceless gift of guidance in the Holy Book.

What should we give our parents? The words of the Holy Quran instruct children to give parents ample, lawful favors which bring pleasure and abundant comfort; actions done sweetly, gently, and with moderation. Each day people show kindness to parents, according to individual priorities.
In 1970 my mother had prayed for God to draw me closer to Him but she never expected I would start praying five times a day. Upon my conversion to Islam, she appreciated my efforts to become obedient, respectful, and kind. From her daily readings of the Holy Bible she recognized The Holy Quran was teaching me to honor my mother and father. So it happened that in my twenties the Merciful God guided me from the darkness of blaming to the light of forgiveness. Following the guidance of the Holy Qur’an I learned to treat both of my parents better. As they aged the gift of mutual love became more precious. They passed away and still the Qur’an guides with a prayer. “My Lord, have mercy on them even as they nourished me when I was a little child.” Learn more about what children should give their parents at www.alislam.org.
