Woman Killed By Car In Redmond Was PCC Employee

Toni Haley, 70, was heading to her job at the Redmond PCC market when she was hit and killed early Friday morning.

REDMOND, WA - The woman who died early Friday morning crossing Avondale Road worked at the Redmond PCC and was on her way to that job when she died. Toni Haley, 70, was a morning janitor at the market.

The accident happened around 4 a.m. along the 11400 block of Avondale Road, which is just north of Union Hill Road. Police said Haley was walking toward the PCC market, which is about two miles north of where she was hit. She died at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the vehicle cooperated with police and did not appear intoxicated, according to the department. Police believe the collision was accidental and said Haley was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.
