1,200 Cannabis Plants Seized In Renton, Newcastle Busts
Some nosy neighbors sniffed out the illegal grow houses, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

RENTON, WA - Two drug busts Thursday yielded 1,200 cannabis plants and some 14 pounds of prepackaged pot, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. Police were tipped off by neighbors of an illegal grow house in Newcastle, which led to a second bust in Renton.
King County detectives began looking into the Newcastle grow operation months ago after the neighbors reported seeing suspicious activity. Police found out that the owner of the Newcastle home owned a second home in Renton, which also turned out to be an illegal grow.
Police arrested a 50-year-old Seattle man at the Renton home, taking him to jail on a charge of controlled substance manufacturing.
