1 Dead In Renton Shooting; Victims Found In Residential Neighborhood

The victims were found in a residential neighborhood south of Petrovitsky Road early Saturday morning.

RENTON, WA - Renton police are investigating a homicide after two gunshot victims were found Thursday morning in a residential neighborhood south of Petrovitsky Road. One of the victims was dead at the scene, the other was shot in the legs, according to police. The shooting follows a drive-by that occurred earlier this week, and the shooting death two weeks ago of a man at a Renton apartment complex.

Police first reported the shooting at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The victims were found near a car along the 11300 block of Southeast 179th Street, about one block south of Petrovitsky. Police believe the shooting happened elsewhere and the victims drove to that location.

The victim who was shot in the legs was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
