8-Year-Old Crashes Car In Renton Parking Lot

RENTON, WA — Officers were called to a Renton Walmart Tuesday afternoon after an 8-year-old boy backed a vehicle into another car in the shopping center's parking lot, police said. According to investigators, the boy's father had given him the vehicle's keys and he ran out to the car and started it. The boy backed up and collided with another vehicle that was traveling through the parking lot shorly after 1 p.m. Police said the car that was hit had an infant passenger inside, but nobody involved was injured.
