Accused White Center Rapist May Have Attacked Other Women, Police Say

King County Sheriff's detectives are looking for more possible victims of the man who they allege brutally attacked a woman last Thursday.

RENTON, WA - King County Sheriff's detectives are looking for other possible victims of a man who they say brutally assaulted and raped a homeless woman in White Center last Thursday.

The sheriff's office says that the suspect, Robert Javier German, 22, has lived in several cities south of Seattle, including Tukwila, Auburn, and Kent. Detectives are asking anyone who may have been the victim of a similar assault to contact them.

The incident took place last Thursday at 2:30 a.m. Deputies responded to the 9600 block of 15th Avenue Southwest in White Center, which is an unincorporated area between Seattle and Burien. At the scene, police found a 55-year-old woman who had been severely beaten.

German has been charged with first-degree assault with sexual motivation and is being held on $750,000 bond.

The woman was beaten so severely, her face was unrecognizable, according to reports. She was placed in a medically-induced coma, although is expected to survive.

According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, charging papers allege that German attacked the woman after leaving work at the Taco Bell in Burien, which is about five blocks south of the area where the attack happened. German was allegedly caught on a surveillance camera harassing the woman, and then dragging her into the parking lot of a DSHS office along 15th Avenue, where the attack continued.
