Renton, WA Flock cameras on hold as city plans virtual town hall (fox13seattle.com) — Renton's Flock license plate cameras remain shut off after a split city council vote, and the city is renegotiating its contract before November. With residents raising privacy and surveillance concerns, Renton Police will host a virtual town hall on Thursday, August 27 at 6 p.m. so locals can learn about the technology and weigh in on its future.
4. Final primary election results are in for Renton voters (rentonreporter.com) — Renton voters now have final August primary results for key federal, legislative, county, and judicial races that cover the city. The article details who advanced in Congressional Districts 8 and 9, Legislative District 11, and several statewide and county contests, helping residents see which candidates they'll likely choose between in November's general election.

Providence Health Plan to close completely after Medicare Advantage deal falls through (healthcaredive.com) — Providence Health Plan, run by Renton-based Providence, is shutting down all of its insurance lines after a deal to preserve its Medicare Advantage plans collapsed.
