• King County now has the nation's largest library sorting machine (seattletimes.com) — Renton now hosts the King County Library System's massive new book-sorting machine, quietly running in a local warehouse and handling about 25,000 items a day. The $5.2 million system speeds up holds and returns for all 50 branches, meaning Renton residents—and their neighbors countywide—should see books, movies, and other materials arrive faster and more reliably than with the old, breakdown-prone sorter.
