Suspect Backs Into WSP Trooper, Escapes In Renton
A pursuit that began in Kent ended near the Valley Medical Center Wednesday morning, according to police.
RENTON, WA — A police pursuit that began in Kent ended near the Valley Medical Center Wednesday morning. The suspect backed his car into a state trooper's SUV before fleeing the scene, police said.
According to WSP, a Kent officer tried to pull the suspect over in that city, but the suspect fled down SR 167. A state trooper saw the vehicle, but did not immediately pursue.
A short time later, the trooper found the car parked at a medical office along the 17900 block of Talbot Road, just across the street from the Valley Medical Center. The suspect backed into the trooper's car, but fled the scene on foot.

Kent police are handling the investigation, but Renton officers did respond to assist. As of around 11 a.m., the suspect was still at-large.
