August 7 Voter Pamphlet statements for and against both library sites have been drafted
Randy Corman gives readers an early (unofficial) preview of the anticipated Voter Pamphlet for the August 7 library election, including statements by both campaigns.
The August 7 vote for the location of the downtown Renton library is less than two months away. It has been a very short campaign season, as both the City and KCLS wanted to get the question to the voters quickly so that library replacement plans could continue to move forward.
While the official King County Elections Voter Pamphlet is still in production and will not be published for a couple more weeks, I have pieced together the submittals of the city and each campaign on my website to give voters an early look at the arguements for each location.

(Note that King County Elections has the right to edit the city's and campaigns' statements if the statements exceed length requirements or have any other inconsistencies with official standards, and the published format will be slightly different-- so my summary must be seen as a draft until the statements are officially published in the Voter Pamphlet.)
