Friendliness, compassion, goodwill and equanimity: all are keys to unlock fear in mind and body.

How do you react to a person with whom you have a challenging relationship or a pose with which you are challenged? Do you feel resistance, frustration, aversion or inadequacy?

Many come to yoga classes to for physical gain but find asana benefits more that the physical body. By responding with equanimity to challenging circumstances, whether physical or emotional, yoga teaches us to develop a peaceful attitude.

Cultivate acceptance to poses you resist or avoid. Develop compassion when frustrated with your body. Promote appreciation for success when you feel inadequate. Love yourself by staying close to your practice.
