Doing so, I feel my entire posture shift more upright. But I feel uneven- my body is not familiar with standing evenly. The moment I take my attention away, I habitually move back to distributing my weight as before.

All day long, standing, walking, even sitting, I bring my attention back to my right heel, pressing into it, lifting my arch, alleviating the pronation, creating more strength and space in my body.

I am practicing because I have had years of pain in my right sacrum and the right side of my spine. I am practicing this because my tendency is to exhale and not inhale again from the instinct of guarding my body from this pain. I am practicing this so that my front rib cage will open, relieving the slump of my shoulders. I am practicing this to care for my body, my emotions and my spirit.
