Broken Utility Pole In Renton Blocks Street, Knocks Out Power
A broken utility poll is blocking Union Avenue, and traffic restrictions might last all day, according to Renton police.

RENTON, WA - Renton police are warning of potential traffic delays due to a broken utility pole. The pole is located along Union Avenue near Northeast 2nd Court. That location is near Heritage Park south of Northeast 4th Street.
According to Puget Sound Energy, the broken utility pole had knocked out power to about 1,200 people in that neighborhood. Puget Sound Energy was reporting that the problem could be fixed by 3:30 p.m. Monday.
According to reports, a recycling truck hit the poll and then left the scene.
