Buy Pineapples At QFC Or Fred Meyer To Benefit Hunger Drive

RENTON, WA - Fred Meyer and QFC shoppers who like pineapples can easily participate in a hunger drive this month. For every can of pineapple shoppers buy, Dole will donate a can to the "Let Sunshine In, Drive Hunger Out Campaign."

The QFC and Fred Meyer stores in Renton, Seattle, and Bellevue are participating in the hunger drive.

Fred Meyer and Dole Packaged Foods have teamed with multi-platinum artist Phillip Phillips to help local Seattle residents in need this winter through the Let Sunshine In, Drive Hunger Out Campaign.

On Thursday, November 15, shoppers at Fred Meyer locations across the Seattle area can help those less fortunate by purchasing DOLE® Pineapple cans. For every DOLE® Pineapple can purchased, DOLE® will provide one can to a local food bank. The Let Sunshine In, Drive Hunger Out Campaign is part of DOLE®’s continued commitment to hunger relief, with the company donating 1.5 million pounds of healthy food each year to support families in need.
