Car Thief Rams Police Cruiser, Flees Scene
The suspects were pursued and detained following the crash.

RENTON, WA - A suspected car thief intentionally crashed into a patrol car and fled the scene Saturday night, according to police. After chasing down the suspects on foot, police initially detained a female passenger and later apprehended the male driver. No officers were hurt in the incident.
The crash occurred in the 2400 block of Duvall Ave. NE, a residential area a few blocks east of Sierra Heights Elementary School.
This is the second time a suspected stolen car has crashed into a Renton Police vehicle this week. On Thursday morning, a stolen vehicle struck a police car and the driver fled. Police chased the vehicle on SR 167 into Kent, where the suspect ditched the car and fled on foot.

The two people involved in that chase were also detained, police said. Officers are now clearing the scene. All suspects are in custody and all officers are safe.

Happening now. Officers pursued a suspected stolen vehicle after the vehicle fled and intentionally rammed an officers patrol car. RPD is in the area of the 2400 block of Duvall Ave Ne where several suspects bailed out of the car on foot. Please stay clear of the area.
