Boy, 2-1/2, Dies In Maple Valley Murder-Suicide: KCSO
The 2-1/2-year-old child was in the home with his mother and her 30-year-old boyfriend.
MAPLE VALLEY, WA — A 2-1/2-year-old boy was drowned and killed Thursday night in a suspected murder suicide at a Maple Valley home, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.
Police responded to the home around 10 p.m. They found the mother performing CPR on the boy. Deputies and medics also tried CPR, but couldn't revive him. His cause of death was asphyxia due to drowning, according to the King County Medical Examiner.
During a search of the house, police found Hoben Delgado, 30, dead of a gunshot wound in the garage. Delgado was the mother's boyfriend, according to police, and shared a last name with the 2-1/2-year-old.

The incident happened at a home in a neighborhood off Kent-Kangley Road just west of SR 169.
#Update Major Crimes continues to investigate, all involved parties are accounted for. This is being investigated as a domestic violence situation. One child and one adult male found deceased at the scene.
