Community Snapshot: Santa Arrives For Piazza Lighting

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus check their lists before the big night. Visit them at the Piazza on Dec. 9 and 16 from 5-7 p.m & Dec. 10 and 17 from 1-4 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrived in grand fashion Saturday night at the  Holiday Tree Lighting aboard Renton Fire and Emergency Services Engine 11.

The pair then spent nearly two hours gathering wish lists from children before their big Christimas eve trip. For several years Santa and Mrs. Claus have been played by former Renton Police Chief Garry Anderson and his wife Vicki.

Santa will be available the next two Fridays (December 9 and 16) from 5-7 p.m. and Saturdays (December 10 and 17) from 1-4 p.m.

The Renton Piazza is located along South Third Street near the Renton Transit Center.
