Des Moines Cop Fatally Shoots Suspect In Fife

FIFE, WA - A Des Moines officer shot and killed a suspect who fled from police on a motorcycle early Friday morning, according to KING 5's Rebecca Perry. The incident started as a domestic response at the Des Moines Marina. Police pursued the suspect in a high-speed chase to Fife.

KOMO News reported that the suspect crashed his motorcycle in a Jack N the Box parking lot. The suspect had a handgun that was recovered at the scene.

The police officer is a 21-year veteran of the force who will be put on administrative leave as is standard practice. An investigation into the incident is underway.
