Driver Dies In Skyway Crash As Passenger Overdoses
The crash happened Wednesday night around 6 p.m. along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South near the Skyway area.

SKYWAY, WA - A man was killed Wednesday night when he made an illegal U-turn along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South in the Skyway area. But the driver might have been responding to an emergency in his car because the passenger was reportedly overdosing at the time of the crash.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday west of South 129th Street. The driver was making an illegal U-turn in his Toyota Camry when another driver in a Pontiac Grand-Am drove into him. The Toyota driver's identity has not yet been released, but the driver of the Grand-Am, Cory Johnson, 22, of Seattle, was injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The passenger in the Toyota, Cornell Benison, 58, of Seattle, was found by emergency responders overdosing on heroin, according to KOMO News. Benison was given an anti-opioid drug at the scene and taken to Harborview.
