Elderly Man Stabs Employee At Senior Housing Complex In Renton: Police

The suspect was arrested without incident by Renton police.

RENTON, WA - An employee at a senior living complex in downtown Renton was stabbed Wednesday afternoon by a 73-year-old resident of the complex, according to Renton police. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, and the 73-year-old was arrested without incident.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at a senior housing complex in the downtown area near the corner of Wells Avenue and South 4th Street. The 73-year-old allegedly attacked the 40-year-old employee with a knife, stabbing him in the arm.

The 73-year-old retreated to his apartment in the building, and Renton police later arrested him there on a charge of felony assault. He was being held at the King County Jail.
