The two scammers knocked on the 83-year-old's door pretending to be interested in buying her home, police said.

RENTON, WA — An 83-year-old Renton woman was ripped-off recently by two women posing as home buyers, according to police.

On April 24 around 12:30 p.m., two women knocked on the elderly woman's door. The scammers said they were interested in buying the elderly woman's home. Informed that the house was not for sale, the two women asked to come inside to use the bathroom.

While inside, they took the elderly woman's wallet. They later used the woman's credit cards at Fred Meyer.
