Vivian and Phil Williams present tunes played, danced to and sung during the Civil War, along with accounts of musical performances from Civil War diaries and memoirs, stories about the tunes, and descriptions of the dances done to the tunes. The program is based on historical research over the past several years. The music is played on instruments from the era, including the fiddle, guitar and banjo.
