Expect Delays In Renton After Car Hits Utility Pole

There were only minor injuries reported, but the crash may cause long backups near I-405.

RENTON, WA — Renton police and firefighters were responding to a crash along a main Renton street just before 8 a.m. on Thursday.

According to police, a car crashed into a utility pole along westbound Grady Way at Lake Avenue, right outside the Renton Park and Ride entrance, and just a half a block east of I-405.

Police warned drivers to avoid that route on Thursday morning due to significant backups. Police said there were only minor injuries associated with the crash.
