February Special Election Results: Renton, Seattle School Levies

Measures on the ballot included school levies in Seattle and Renton, and a fire protection measure affecting Lake Forest Park.

RENTON, WA - The February special election in King County was slightly overshadowed by the recent snowy weather, but thousands still voted in school levy measures in Renton and Seattle, and a fire department benefit charge affecting Lake Forest Park.

As of Wednesday morning, about 100,000 people had cast a ballot. All measures on the ballot were being approved by wide margins. Here are the results as of 8 a.m. Tuesday:

  • Yes: 6,944, 59.8%

King County Fire Protection District No. 16 (Kenmore, Lake Forest Park) Proposition No. 1 Benefit Charge Continuation

  • Yes: 4,190, 90.5%
  • No: 440, 9.5%

King County Water District No. 45 Proposition No. 1 Proposed Merger into King County Water District No. 20 (White Center)

  • Yes: 211, 85.77%
