Fire Damages Marijuana Grow Site In Skyway: Fire Department
The fire broke out early Monday morning near Renton along Langston Road, according to fire officials.

SKYWAY, WA - Firefighters uncovered a marijuana grow operation early Monday morning after a fire broke out in a home along Langston Road. Skyway, Renton, and Tukwila firefighters responded to the home along the 6600 block of Langston around 1 a.m. Monday. Two people were spotted at the scene of the fire, but did not stick around, firefighters reported.
The cause of the fire was ruled accidental, according to Skyway fire, and was due to an electrical problem. The blaze caused about $80,000 in damage to the home. Firefighters found the marijuana grow operation after putting out the fire and searching the home.
The King County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation into the grow operation. The location of the home is just west of the downtown Renton area.
