Fire Hydrant Impales Car In Renton, Driver Injured
The car rolled onto a fire hydrant during a crash Friday morning near downtown Renton, but the driver escaped the wreck.
RENTON, WA — A driver was injured Friday morning during a rollover crash where a fire hydrant impaled the car.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. along Mill Avenue South east of the downtown area. When the car toppled over, the driver's side landed on the hydrant, according to photos released by Renton police.
The driver was treated at the scene by firefighters for injuries, police said.
