Fire Hits Coffee Roaster In Renton

RENTON, WA - Renton firefighters responded to a fire in a coffee roasting plant along Houser Way on Tuesday morning. There were no injuries reported, according to police.

The fire broke out at Distant Lands Trading Co., which is located between I-405 and the Fry's electronics store along Houser Way.

Renton police closed parts of Houser Way and 8th Street in the vicinity of the fire, but the streets were open by early Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters at the scene had made it onto the roof, and reported that the fire was contained.
