Renton seniors are very lucky this St. Patrick's Day weekend. They get an early start to celebrate the joy of St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, March 16 at the 34th annual Knights of Columbus Free Pancake Breakfast (with all the trimmings). The fun event is held at the Renton Senior Activity Center, 221 Burnett Ave. N in downtown Renton.

There will be Irish decorations on tables and delicious cooked food to honor Renton seniors ages 50+for their contributions to the community. If you're a Renton senior you're invited!

Enjoy a great breakfast and if you feel lucky you can participate in a 50/50 raffle--with the winner taking home half the ticket sales. There is no cost for the breakfast itself.

The Knights of Columbus thank the City of Renton for donating use of the facility and Wills and Estate Attorney Dan Kellogg for being the financial sponsor of the breakfast. Knights of Columbus members from St. Anthony Parish in Renton will be the master cooks for everyone's delicious meal.

The Knights estimate they have cooked more than 20,000 pancakes over the past 33 years. Each year the event falls on the Saturday closest to St. Patrick's Day.

The Knights of Columbus are grateful for the legacy of faith, caring and fun around the Irish saint whose official feast is March 17. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!
