Genetic Testing for 20 People with Elevated BMI (Body Mass Index)

Take a survey, see if you qualify, and sign up for cheek swab. If you have the gene and choose to, you might receive an investigational drug

Ever wondered if your genes were responsible for your weight struggles?

The Diabesity Research Foundation is currently participating in a scientific research study sponsored by Rhythm Metabolic, Inc. to identify people with a specific gene mutation that may affect obesity. If you or your loved ones have a BMI between 30-50, no diabetes, controlled blood pressure, no cancer and no prior weight loss surgery, please complete this survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GeneticScreeningObesityStudy to see if you qualify and to sign up for a quick cheek swab appointment at our office in Seattle. Our next Swab Day is August 2nd from 10 am - 2 pm.

If the screening test shows you have a specific gene that may cause obesity, you may be asked to participate in the main clinical research study. If you do decide to participate in the main study, you might receive an investigational drug being studied for this specific gene profile.

If you can’t make it on August 2nd, please email us to set up an alternate time. Thank you.
