• Why Go: Looking for a way to kick-start your weekend? Come out to downtown Renton this Friday night. On the first Friday of every month the downtown area turns into one big party with live music, wine, beer, food, and more!

• Why Go: This weekend is your last chance to catch the Renton Civic Theater’s production of Hay Fever. This hilarious play is sure to keep audiences entertained and laughing at every turn. Go see this great play before it’s gone!

• Why Go: Come out to the IKEA Performing Arts Center to see who will be crowned the next Miss Seattle 2012. The pageant is made up of five different phases: a private interview, talent showcase, swimsuit and evening wear, and on-stage questions.

• Why Go: Interested in tracing your family history but don’t know where to start? Claudia Breland, a professional genealogist with more than 35 years of experience, will walk you through the early steps of this exciting hobby at the Renton Library.

• Why Go: Join Valley Medical Center’s staff for this fun, family-friendly event at the Showare Center. The event will feature bouncy houses, free kid-friendly refreshments, an appearance by the T-Birds mascot, a hockey challenge, live music, a hula-hoop contest, arts and crafts, face painting, and a Safety Fair with free bike helmet fitting, car seat checks, photo and fingerprint ID cards and more!

Aunt Dottie & Nephew Aaron's March 4 to benefit WA Food Coalition

• Where/When: , 507 S 3rd St. on Sunday, March 4, 7 p.m.
• Why Go: Aunt Dottie and her Nephew Aaron are back for their first show of 2012 and as pleased as punch to be supporting the Washington Food Coalition with a portion of the proceeds from this show! This is a raucous, rowdy interactive show that’s different every time. Aunt Dottie and her Nephew Aaron bring their unique brand of entertainment to this  cabaret full of improv, comedy & music. You never know what will happen at Aunt Dottie’s Cabaret! There WILL be prizes!
