Gun Goes Off Inside Southcenter Mall: Police
The incident happened on Monday afternoon, according to Tukwila police, forcing some stores to close.

TUKWILA, WA - A gun may have gone off or been fired inside the Westfield Southcenter Mall on Monday afternoon, according to Tukwila police.
Some stores at the mall closed while police investigated the incident. No one was injured, and police did not make any arrests related to the incident.
There have been multiple incidents of gunfire or people hearing gunfire at the mall in recent years.

On Feb. 18, 2018, police swarmed the mall after a report of an active shooter. There was a fight at the mall that night, but no gunfire.
In August 2017, four would-be robbers tried to smash a glass case at the Ben Bridge jewelry store with a hammer, which sounded like gunfire. In turn, the mall was placed on lockdown with customers ushered to safety in the back rooms of stores.

In July 2017, a shot was fired in front of the Chipotle restaurant in the mall's food court. The mall was placed on lockdown, but police didn't locate any victims or the shooter.
