Renton Hazmat Situation Ends With No Environmental Danger
A reported hazardous materials leak reported Wednesday morning ended without incident, according to Renton firefighters.

RENTON, WA - Multiple agencies responded to AIM Aerospace in Renton on Wednesday morning on a report of a possible hazardous materials leak. Renton, Skyway, state, and King County emergency personnel responded to the scene to evaluate the situation. The hazardous material leak was caused by an epoxy mixture, according to Battalion Chief Roy Gunsolus.
The call first came in at around 11 a.m., and units responded to the business along Seneca Avenue, which is off of Southwest 7th Street behind the Wal-Mart. Firefighters took air quality readings in the area, and determined that there was no environmental danger, although the epoxy had vented some gas. Streets in the area - including Southwest 7th Street - were closed for a brief time during the investigation.
Most firefighters had left the scene by 12:30 p.m., and the entire scene was clear by 1 p.m.
