Hazmat Situation In Renton South Of Downtown: Firefighters
Fire crews were responding to a possible hazmat situation with reports of several sick people.

RENTON, WA - Firefighters were responding to a possible hazmat situation Wednesday afternoon south of the downtown area. According to Renton firefighters, an unknown substance may have sickened several people at a business. The scene of the response was the 800 block of Southwest 16th Street, which is south of I-405 near the Wal-Mart.
Renton firefighters reported around 1 p.m. that three people were taken to a local hospital, but the hazmat team had not identified what sickened them.
It's unclear which business the hazmat situation is affecting. There are a number of industrial and office-based businesses along that stretch of Southwest 16th, including Saxton Bradley and Click Distributing.
