Horrific Crash On Petrovitsky Closed Road For Hours

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Benson Hill area, according to police.

RENTON, WA - The driver involved in a horrific crash along Petrovitsky Road late Wednesday night walked away with relatively minor injuries, according to local firefighters.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. near Petrovitsky and 116th Avenue Southeast, according to Renton police. Pictures from the scene show a car upside down, the wheels on the passenger side completely torn off.

"When accidents happen, Local 864 will be there. But give yourselves a chance and buckle up. Seat belts save lives, which was the case last night as the driver of this vehicle walked away with very minor injuries," the Renton firefighters union wrote on Twitter.

The crash forced the closure of Petrovitsky in both directions. Police reopened the road around 1 a.m.
