'Intoxicated' Man Shot Behind Renton Wal-Mart
The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Wal-Mart along Rainier Avenue.
RENTON, WA - Renton police detectives were investigating a possible drive-by shooting that happened behind the Wal-Mart along Rainier Avenue Wednesday afternoon. The shooting was reported around 5 p.m., according to Renton police and fire officials.
Police said the victim was shot in the leg. He told police that he thought he was shot by someone driving by in a car, but police reported he was "intoxicated."
Intoxicated victim in shooting behind Walmart says it he thinks it was a drive by shooting, investigation is ongoing. The area is safe and officers have cleared the scene. Detectives are responding to the hospital to speak further with the victim.
