King County Health Department Closes Renton Restaurant
The restaurant was closed Tuesday due to violations ranging from improper food storage to hand washing practices.

RENTON, WA - The King County Public Health department closed The Stir restaurant on Tuesday over a number of health code violations, the department reported Wednesday.
The Stir, located at 151 Sunset Boulevard North, was closed at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for a range of violations. Those violations include: Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures; improper cooling of potentially hazardous food; inadequate facilities to control temperature of potentially hazardous food; poor personal hygiene practices - hand-washing; hand washing facilities inaccessible; toxic items not properly stored/used; imminent health hazard-floor drain backing up, malfunctioning walk-in refrigerator.
The restaurant will reopen once the violations are corrected, the health department says. Recent reviews on Yelp are mixed for The Stir, although many negative reviews involve slow food delivery.

"My husband and I absolutely LOVE Stir. We're here almost on a biweekly basis these days and the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious," wrote reviewer Lindsey B on Yelp.
