King County Seeks Community Input From Unincorporated Areas
The Department of Local Services is looking for public help to create a list of needs in unincorporated areas.
King County officials are soliciting input from residents living in unincorporated areas to help guide the creation of new community needs lists. According to county data, roughly 250,000 people live in areas outside the limits of King County's 39 cities.
"King County's unincorporated communities are unique, and each resident of those communities should have a say in their future," said Joe McDermott, a King County council member. "I encourage residents of the two unincorporated areas that I representβWhite Center and Vashon Islandβto take this online survey and play an active role in shaping the places where they live and work."

In a news release, county officials said the surveys will serve as the first step in identifying goals that will guide how the country prioritizes projects, adjusts services and plans other improvements.
