Know Someone Who Took Subsys? The FBI Is Looking For Victims
The bureau is trying to find victims of an alleged scam involving executives of the company that manufactured the painkiller Subsys.

The FBI is trying to track down people who were prescribed the fentanyl-based painkiller Subsys in the wake of an investigation into an alleged racketeering scheme involving pharmaceutical executives.
In early December, the FBI arrested executives from Insys Therapeutics, Inc., alleging that they bribed pain clinics to unnecessarily prescribe Subsys. The painkiller was originally made to treat cancer patients experiencing extreme pain, but the FBI alleges that the executives pushed medical practitioners to prescribe the drug to non-cancer patients.
The FBI is looking for people who were prescribed Subsys between March 2012 and December 2016. They are searching for potential victims of the racketeering scheme.

If you or someone you know was prescribed Subsys, you can fill out an FBI questionnaire to determine if you are a victim. The questionnaire is voluntary, the FBI says, but if you are a victim, you may be eligible for assistance.
