Fire Damages Renton Home; 1 Occupant Injured
The fire broke out around 4 a.m. Tuesday in a home along South 6th Street.

RENTON, WA - A serious house fire broke out early Tuesday morning at a home in the downtown area. The fire heavily damaged the home's garage, and injured one occupant. The fire was so heavy that it also damaged neighborhing buildings, Renton firefighters reported.
The fire broke out around 4 a.m. at a home along South 6th Street near Shattuck Avenue South, about one block east of Rainier Avenue South. After about an hour fighting the fire, crews contained the flames, which were reportedly visible from blocks away.
One occupant of the home sustained minor injuries, firefighters reported.
