UPDATE - Lindbergh's Russell Places 8th At Mat Classic

Lindbergh's Trevonn Russell could not find a way to pin down two wrestlers Saturday afternoon on his way to an eighth place finish in the 2A-195 weight class.

Russell, a junior fell to Deer Park's Billy Marshall in 48 seconds; and lost to Bremerton in the 7th/8th place match 12-2.

Lindbergh's Trevonn Russell bounced back from losing his first bout at Friday's Mat Classic at the Tacoma Dome. The junior lost to Jordan Leech of Steilacoom 4-3 before winning the next two matches to place in the 2A 195 pound weight class.

Russell beat Colton Bogle of Burlington-Edison 7-4 and then Chehalis's Nick Lund 6-2 to advance to day two of the Mat Classic. He will take on Deer Park's Billy Marshall around 11:50 a.m. Russell can place no worse then 8th place, but no higher than 3rd place.
