Local Grandmother Killed In Hit And Run: $3,000 Reward Offered
April Fait was crossing the street on her way to her grandchild's performance on Feb. 24 when she as hit and killed.

BURIEN, WA - Police need your help to track down the vehicle that hit and killed a local grandmother last month as she was crossing the street trying to see her grandchild perform in a musical.
The hit-and-run happened on Feb. 24 around 7 p.m. April Fait, 73, was crossing 152nd Street South in Burien to get to the Highline Performing Arts Center. Her grandchild was performing in the St. Francis of Assisi production of Annie, Jr., according to the B-Town Blog.
The only description police have: the suspect was driving a new silver or gray sedan; the vehicle will have damage to its front end. Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. On top of that, Fait's friends and family have raised $2,000 to contribute to the reward, the King County Sheriff's Office is saying.

In addition to being a grandmother, Fait worked for the Highline School District, and was approaching retirement.
