Speeding Truck Overturns, Blocks I-405 On-Ramp
A truck hauling metal pipes overturned on the ramp connecting southbound I-5 to northbound I-405 Thursday morning.
RENTON, WA - A truck hauling pipes overturned on the ramp connecting southbound I-5 to northbound I-405 on Thursday morning, cutting off access to I-405 from SR 518 and I-5.
The driver of the truck was speeding, according to WSP Trooper Rick Johnson. The speed limit along the on-ramp is 35 MPH, and the truck was estimated to be going about 55 MPH. The driver will be cited, Johnson said.
