Man Killed In Renton Drive-By Shooting
Police said a man was killed when several shots were fired at a vehicle he was riding in Thursday night.

RENTON, WA — Police are investigating after a man was killed during a drive-by shooting in Renton Thursday night. According to the Renton Police Department, the victim was riding in the back seat of a stolen vehicle, which was driving along the 300 block of Rainier Avenue South at 8:30 p.m.
According to detectives, the driver told them multiple shots were fired at his vehicle, and he fled north toward Seattle. Police said he called 911 after noticing his backseat passenger had been fatally shot.
Officers with the Seattle Police Department responded to the 3900 block of South Othello Street around 8:50 p.m.

Renton Police took over the scene spoke to the driver, who was not able to provide information on potential suspects. The vehicle was impounded and police said several bullet casings were found at the reported location of the shooting.
The identity of the man killed has not been released.
