Man On Meth Steals Car In Renton, Gets Tased In Puyallup: Police
The man stole a sports car in Renton and made it all the way to Puyallup before he was stopped, police said.

PUYALLUP, WA - A suspect allegedly high on methamphetamine led Puyallup police and Pierce County deputies on a crazy chase from Edgewood to Puyallup over the weekend. The incident ended with the suspect getting hit with a Taser after his car broke down along SR 512.
The suspect allegedly stole a sports car, a Nissan 300Z, in Renton before heading south to Pierce County. Pierce County deputies caught up to him along Meridian after he failed to yield.
Puyallup police entered the chase as the suspect crashed through the railroad crossing arms at North Meridian. The driver kept heading south, nearly striking a Puyallup police car, before entering SR 512 heading toward Lakewood.

As he headed up the hill, his engine began to fail, police said. The driver made one last effort to evade police, trying to pull a U-turn across the freeway. He crashed in the median and tried to run from the scene on foot. That's when he was shot with a Taser.
The suspect told police he had consumed methamphetamine before the chase, police reported. He was taken to jail on charges of eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of car theft tools, hit and run, and DUI.
