Man Shot In Renton, High School Locked Down
Renton High School was placed into lockdown Tuesday afternoon on reports of a shooting nearby.
RENTON, WA — Renton High School was placed in lockdown Tuesday afternoon while police searched for the suspect in a nearby shooting, officials said.
Police were first called to the 100 block of Rainier Avenue North around 2 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound just blocks from the high school. According to the Renton Police Department, several officers responded to the area and began a K9 track for a potential suspect.
Police said the suspect was still at large Tuesday afternoon and road closures could be in place nearby. People were encouraged to avoid the area while the investigation continued.

The Renton Police Department released a surveillance image of their suspect shortly before 3:30 p.m.
