Man Swipes Renton Store's Lottery Ticket Dispenser
Police are searching for a suspect who committed a brazen robbery at a gas station.
RENTON, WA - Police are looking for a suspect who walked into a convenience store and stole an entire scratch-off lottery ticket dispenser off the counter. A video on Q13 shows the man entering the Renton Highlands store and quickly grabbing the dispenser. A clerk chased after him with a bat, but the suspect fled the scene.
Police said the tickets were worth about $2,300. Police believe the robbery was planned in advance as the thief emerged from a car parked on a ramp adjacent to the gas station then went straight for the lottery tickets. He then hopped in a white getaway car parked close by.
