Memorial Dates For Albert Talley Sr Announced
There will be a visitation and memorial service this week for the Renton School Board member who died last week.

RENTON, WA - The Renton community will have two opportunities this week to remember Albert Talley Sr., the Renton School Board member who died last week.
The memorial events include:
- Visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 5-8 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 350 Monroe Ave. NE
- Public Memorial is Saturday, April 8, 1-3 p.m. at Renton High IKEA Performing Arts Center, at Renton High School, 400 South 2nd St.
Talley served more than 16 years on the school board, and was a pillar of the local education community. The Renton School District announced that he had passed away on March 30.

"Mr. Talley is a Renton institution. For decades, he has served children, families and all of the Renton School District (and Renton community) in his role as School Board Director. Mr. Tally has been a Renton School Board member, including Board President, for more than 16 years, guiding school district policy, hiring superintendents, and serving the district’s nearly 16,000 students and families. Parents and community members trust Mr. Talley to represent and serve the children of the district: In each of his elections for School Board, Mr. Talley was elected with more than 98% of the public vote," the district wrote in a memorial for Talley.
