Pedestrian Killed By Freight Train In Kent

The accident happened just before 6 a.m. Friday along a freight rail corridor east of SR 167.

KENT, WA - A person was killed by a freight train Friday morning in Kent, and the accident had disrupted Sounder train service. As of 7:30 a.m., all Sounder south line trains were back in service, however.

The person was killed at a rail crossing along Willis Street just before 6 a.m. Friday. The man was struck by a BNSF Railway train.

There's an ongoing investigation in the circumstances surrounding the death.
